2012 – some thoughts by Julia Shepherd
One of the most potent ideas put forward about 2012 is that the earth -Gaia will ascend taking souls on earth who are of a sufficiently high consciousness. ‘Lesser’ beings will be left behind. This idea is compelling as we may aspire to ascend with Gaia – proving our spiritual worth.
Yet is this theory divisive? It affords us the perfect opportunity to judge, compare, compete and speculate. Inevitably, we then operate within a lower vibration, not from our higher nature, perhaps hindering our desired spiritual progress.
Equally this theory may bring a gift. We do not know what, if anything, will happen next year, so why speculate? Why compete, compare and judge? Let’s relinquish attachment to the outcome of possible events, live in the moment, enjoy things as they are? Life may change. If not, we have learnt to - well, live in the moment, enjoying things as they are. How enlightening that would be! Herein lies the gift of 2012 – accessible to all.
