Distant Healing
"Energy follows Thought"
Whenever a person requiring Healing is unable to work with a practitioner physically, Distant (or Absent) Healing can be administered.
It is an established part of both Reiki and Spiritual Healing practices, and can be just as effective as contact healing.
In Reiki, a Level Two Practitioner or a Master will have received specialist training enabling him or her to channel Distant Healing. The Practitioner or Master will sit alone and focus attention upon the person concerned and the Reiki Energy will flow out to that person, via the Universal Energy Field, using the power of intention.
In Spiritual Healing, the Healer may work alone or as part of a circle. Meditation is used to focus the energy, and a request for Healing is given to the client's Higher Self or the Universe. Depending on the circumstances, the Healer may ask angels or guides to intercede and facilitate the sending of the healing energy.
With both methods, it is not necessary to know the nature of the problem being worked upon, nor any details about the person in question. Usually a name is all that is required, but sometimes in Reiki a recent photograph of the person can be used, as is the tradition.
If it seems a little far-fetched, just think for a moment how many times we send "love", "good wishes" or "loving thoughts" to people. Distant Healing is an extension of this practice.
Distant Healing can also be sent to animals, buildings and to situations.
It is helpful but not essential to seek permission from the person to be treated before asking for Distant Healing.
