Reiki Training
I offer all three levels of Reiki Training or "Reiki Attunement" - these being Reiki I, Reiki II and Mastership.
The Lineage
There are many variations of Reiki and even more ways of teaching it. Through my Reiki Lineage I am very closely connected to the last of the Grand Masters - Hawayo Takata. It was she who was responsible for bringing Reiki out of Japan after World War II, and introducing it to the rest of the world. Mrs.Takata was committed to ensuring that Reiki was taught and practised exactly as laid down by Mikao Usui, the first of the Grand Masters and the re-discoverer of Reiki.
I was attuned to all three levels of Reiki by Claire Montenaro, whose own Master, Jocelyn Graef was attuned by Hawayo Takata herself. I am committed to teaching as Mrs.Takata taught, not changing anything - even fee levels. Because of this, I feel very confident that the simple, clear method I pass on to my students is indeed Reiki in its original, most powerful and purest form - undiminished by variation and alteration.
Reiki Attunements
Having either experienced Reiki or heard about it, you may indeed feel drawn to pursue it further and seek training, and wonderfully, all that is required is that you are attuned by a Reiki Master.
In seeking the right person to attune you, Lineage may or may not be a factor in your choice, but it is very important that you feel comfortable with the energy, the integrity and philosophy of your chosen Master. Search carefully, ask questions and use your intuition.
Reiki I
Having found a suitable Master, the first step to becoming either a Reiki Practitioner and eventually even a Reiki Master, is to take the Level One Attunement. During three, two and a half-hour sessions taken over three days, you will be aligned with the Reiki Energy which you will then be able to use straight away, most usefully, for self-healing or for helping others. You will also be given background information as to the history of Reiki, and the specific hand placements used during a Reiki Treatment.
Reiki II
Approximately six months after completing Reiki One, you can progress to Reiki Two - the Second Level Attunement. At this time you are aligned still further to the Reiki Energy, thus strengthening your link and improving your ability to channel the healing energy. You will receive three Reiki symbols with which to work, and be given instruction on their use and meaning. You will also be taught how to use distant healing at this stage. Receiving the Reiki Two Attunement means you have reached Practitioner Level and are able to practise professionally.
Mastership
Should you wish to progress to the level of Reiki Master, you should usually spend three years at Practitioner Level. You will then take another attunemment and be taught how to give attunements to Levels One and Two.

How do I arrange to have my attunements?
If this interests you please contact me for further details. I do not work to a set timetable, preferring to wait until the student appears. We then arrange the training times together taking into account our mutual availability - this works very well!!
I am happy to work on a one-to-one basis, in pairs, or small groups up to a maximum of four participants. By keeping the group small I feel each student receives my full attention and focus.
